"It is health that is real wealth
not pieces of gold and silver."                                      MAHATMA GANDHI
Welcome to Grand Acupuncture and Herbs

The concept of Oriental Medicine is the wholeness of health rather than treating symptomatic issues. Our goal is to balance and correct the underlying cause of symptoms, thus, your naturally balanced body heal  both physical and psychological dysfunction by itself.

We know what we eat is very important because we are what we eat. But we also know it is more important to have balanced input and output either through sweating, urination, and defecation for proper circulation. All the living things move during their entire life time since birth.

If there is no movement, we call it stagnation.

The stagnation cause our body function poorly than it supposed to be.

One of the common reason for pain is qi(energy) and blood stagnation. It could cause physical dysfunction in different areas on the body (low back, sciatica, neck, shoulder pain, and etc), psychological dysfunction (depression, sadness, anxiety, anger, lack of focus, and etc).

If you have stagnation in the stomach, that could lead you have(tightness in the chest, bloating, belching, gastritis, acid reflux, cold hands&feet, headache, and etc).

Stagnation of qi(energy) in the intestine, you might experience (gassy, constipation which tends to cause skin problems(rash, acne, itch, and etc) because of toxic heat).

Same thing happens in the other organs as well.

Signs and symptoms of Lung Qi deficiency would be cough, phlegm, shortness of breath, fatigue, and spontaneous sweat.

Diarrhea and loose stool means either cold or heat, Dizziness, nausea, and vomiting means dampness, Poor sleep means there is heat in the body.

There are names of illness and diseases, but our goal is to differentiate your body in traditional oriental medicine way by checking your symptoms, tongue, and pulse and find underlying cause.

Different modalities in Oriental Medicine (acupuncture, cupping, herbs, and moxa) improve circulation and also get rid of pathogenic factors such as coldness, dampness, heat, and etc out of the body.

Once your underlying cause is gone, your symptoms will go away with it naturally.
